Proud to Partner with

FC United of Manchester

Fusion is delighted to confirm that our partnership with FC United of Manchester is continuing for a second consecutive year. This collaboration not only strengthens the club’s ambitions to operate more efficiently but also reflects our shared commitment to creating a positive and lasting impact across the community.

Our Head of Ambassadors Programme, Gary, recalls how the relationship first began.

“I first met a number of the FC United team at a Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce event around twenty-four months ago. It only took a fifteen minute conversation to realise that our values and passion were mirrored by that of the club.”

That initial conversation has since developed into a trusted partnership, one that coincides with FC United celebrating the tenth anniversary of their home at Broadhurst Park.

From the very beginning, Fusion for Business was determined to deliver meaningful value. The first step was to stabilise energy costs across gas, electricity and water. This resulted in annual savings of around fifteen per cent on gas and electricity, alongside a further saving of approximately £2,200 on water supply. These results came at a time when volatility in the energy market posed a major concern and offered immediate reassurance and clarity to the club.

Looking ahead, the partnership is already evolving towards more sustainable, long-term solutions. Plans are in place for a fully funded Solar PV System at Broadhurst Park which is projected to generate around thirty per cent of the club’s electricity needs, with a further thirty-two per cent exported back to the grid through an attractive agreement. This is just one part of a broader programme which continues to identify fresh opportunities for energy reduction and efficiency, supported by funding options to make these initiatives achievable.

However, this partnership is about far more than financial savings. At its heart lies a shared belief in the importance of community. FC United has always been a club rooted in its fans and in the people of Manchester, and Fusion shares that ethos. Through our Community Ambassador Programme, we aim to go beyond traditional business partnerships by supporting the wider community connected to FC United. Together we share a passion for helping local people, and we are excited to execute a joint strategy that delivers benefits not only for the club but also for the community that surrounds it.

What makes Fusion different from other energy companies is this very approach. We do not simply focus on securing the best and fairest prices, but also on ensuring that everything is explained in detail, transparent, and fully understood. By working in this way, we make sure that both the club and its community receive outstanding benefits, creating trust and building lasting relationships.

Frances Fielding, General Manager at FC United, said:

“Thanks to Fusion for their continued support. We are thrilled to extend this partnership for the 2025/26 season. Their expertise has helped us reduce our energy costs significantly and they remain committed to improving our green credentials and sustainability at Broadhurst Park. We look forward to strengthening our partnership together and reducing our carbon footprint further.”

Throughout the coming season, Fusion for Business will also support a number of FC United’s vital community initiatives, including the Christmas Toy Appeal, Big Coat Day and selected match sponsorships. These activities reinforce our joint commitment to social good, showing that football can be a powerful force for positive change.

As Gary explains,
“We believe in long term relationships with our clients as these will add great value to all concerned, and without doubt see our partnership with FC United going from strength to strength.”

Fusion is proud to stand alongside FC United of Manchester once again. By combining operational expertise with a community-first mindset, we look forward to building on the progress of the past year and achieving even greater impact in the seasons ahead.
